A special thank you to Emma Eckard for sharing some of her journey this summer and the sermon. We are all called to share the gospel and are uniquely fitted to a sphere to share the good news. Are we willing to develop those relationships so some might come to know Jesus as we did?
Questions for Reflection
1) What is your commitment to Christ?
2) Who can you influence with the gospel?
3) Are you living a life of integrity?
This Sunday, Pastor Ryan will begin the sermon series on the spiritual discipline of simplicity with the sermon titled, “What is Better,” based on Luke 10:38-42. What is the simplest expression of our faith? What can get in the way? Come or tune in on Sunday to find out.

Simplicity– Spiritual Discipline Challenge
This month’s spiritual discipline is simplicity. Simplicity arises from minimalizing any and all distractions that keep us from focusing on God.
This week’s task: write down a daily list of events and approximate time you spend on each one. So for today, Tuesday, write down all that you do today. Then tomorrow, set a new column or section, label it Wednesday, and do the same. You will save this paper as we will build on this activity throughout the month.
If you are a newer attendee at Beaver Creek, please call the office with your birthday or leave a note in the offering plate. We don’t want to miss anyone.
The next community movie night will be THIS Friday, November 10 @ 7 pm. We will show the movie Encanto. Popcorn and ice cream will be provided. Please share with your friends!
Beaver Creek has updated its social media page. Please follow and share so as many people can hear what is going on at Beaver Creek! You can find the pages as follows:
Misti has placed a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board to assist with the backpacks. If you are willing to help, please sign up this week!
Call for Worship Leaders and Children’s Story
We are in need of both worship leaders and children’s storytellers. Contact Alice Over, Phyllis Simmons (worship leading), or Joscelin Cooper (children’s story) if you want to serve.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH & NURSERY
Children’s Church will not meet this week. It will resume Sunday, November 19.
The Christian Education Team is looking for six to eight volunteers for the nursery during the Sunday School hour and church hour. There will be a signup sheet in the back. If you would be willing to volunteer to allow our families to be able to participate in worship, please let one of the members of Christian Education know (Theresa Eckard, Scott McAvoy, Becky Whitmore), or sign up on the signup sheet!
Sight & Sound Interest
The Fidelis class is looking at sponsoring a church-wide trip to Sight & Sound in 2024. But before the class can investigate bus prices and total cost, we want to gauge the true interest in the church. We have had several express interest and are trying to find the best package for us as a church body. If you are interested and would like to be considered for this one-day event next year, please contact the office or let Pastor Ryan know in the next few weeks.
