Two ways to give:
Brian and Becky Whitmore had a devastating house fire early on the morning of Dec. 26. Thankfully, Brian and Becky and the kids all escaped without injury, but the house is a total loss. People have already been asking how they can give to the church’s emergency relief effort so that these needs can be met. Here’s how:

1. To make a money contribution:

Go to our online giving platform (https://beavercreekchurchva.churchcenter.com/giving) and choose “Whitmore Family.” You may give as a guest without creating an account or use an existing account if you have one. All donations marked in that way will go to the family.

2. To sign up to give items:

Most of the items needed have now been accounted for. There will be a need for further donations once they move out of the temporary residence back into their home. At that time, a new list will be created with the specific needs and will be accessed from this site.

For those of you who have pledged items, be on the lookout for a phone call in the next few days to acquire those items for the temporary residence. Thank you all for your generosity and willingness to help out!

Update from Pastor Ryan July 1: Thank you for all who have given so far. The next step in the process to help the family recover from their fire is to acquire the materials. for the rebuild of their home. They have a temporary place to live, but it truly is only temporary and eventually they will need to move into their rebuilt home. We have had conversations with several community partners, and hope to have a specific amount needed soon. What we do know is that we do not have enough as of yet. All gifts to the Whitmore family will go directly into the fund set aside for the rebuilding of the home.
