Leadership Team Meeting
December 19, 2019
Present: Chris Dastoli, Theresa Eckard, Deborah Hoover, Joe LaPrade, Amy Saum, Marlin Simmons, Zack Wampler, Bill Wood. Ex-Officio: Ryan Cooper – Pastor, Tess Southerly, Ann Healy, Darlene LaPrade – Church Clerk. Absent: Kenny Wheelbarger.Chris called the meeting to order at 7:02 p.m.Tess opened with devotions.The minutes from the November meeting were approved.
Calendar Roundtable: January 5 – Bread and Cup Communion during worship, January 5 – First Sunday Breakfast (9:15 a.m.), January 12 – Youth Sunday Night Live (3:00 p.m.), January 26 – Women’s Fellowship Soup and Sandwich Luncheon. A meeting for those interested in starting a praise choir/band will be held following the luncheon.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s report was approved. It was noted that all money collected from the rental of the church parsonage has been used to prepare the parsonage for the Coopers. Chris reported that we are ready to close out all accounts at Wells Fargo.
Matters for Leadership Team: None
Pastor’s Report: Pastor Ryan appreciates everyone’s patience and help in moving into the parsonage and dealing with the difficulty of selling his home. He reported that he has had a very busy schedule with visitations, an anointing, funerals, meetings, and mentoring to name a few. Pastor Ryan will begin a new series of sermons entitled “Walking in the Light”. Surveys will be put out in January to get feedback on Bible study wants and needs (days and times). He is hoping to get a Bible study started by Lent. Pastor Ryan also wants to start a Cookie Project. This would take place once a month in different households. Cookies will be made and delivered to different places (fire station, rescue squads, etc.)

Chris expressed thanks to members for their support during the past year. Members thanked Chris for everything he has done for the church this past year.
