Pastor’s Report:  Glenn reported that the Fire Department has asked to come to the church to draw a layout of the floor plan of the church.  A floor plan drawing was given to each focus team.  Glenn would like to meet with each team at their next meetings.  A transfer of membership request was received from [two members] to Bridgewater Church of the Brethren.  Glenn reported that there are two potential weddings for this year.  He asked members to please keep him informed of any issues or concerns within the church.  [A member of the church is dealing with illness and has now returned home from the hospital.]  Glenn asked for any feedback from the Leadership Team members.  Glenn would also like to visit Sunday School classes in the future.  The Men’s Fellowship Steak Dinner is on June 21.  Glenn suggested a possibility of leaving the worship start time at 10:30 am. for the first two Sundays in September due to Homecoming.  Glenn noted the following issues:  finding a balance between fellowship and spirituality and the Springs of Living Water Initiative.

There was also a discussion of candidates for Deacon service and Deacons whose terms are expiring.]

New Business:  Each team should be working on their budgets for next year.  This is the last year the Jordans will be taking care of the landscaping.  The Facilities Team will need to budget for the landscaping needs.  Each team should prepare their own budget and give it to the Finance Team.  The Finance Team will put it together and present it to the congregation for approval.  As the teams prepare their budgets, they should ask themselves if they are fulfilling the mission of the church.

Other Business:  A written 6 month report is due from each team in June.  This report should highlight activities and things they’ve done.  This report should be sent to Tess and also be given at the June Leadership Team meeting.

Teams were reminded to include Glenn in their team meetings.

A form is being developed for Steele and Alice to report their expenses to the church. This report is needed quarterly to be in compliance with the IRS.
